I think most of the Monsanto protesters are clueless about the reality. If any of them read this post, here's how things are.
Farmers have crops in the fields. Crops have non-crop plants growing
there. They want those plants gone. Normally, farmers go out and weed
out those plants.
Monsanto offered them an alternative. A herbicide
that would kill any plant. Monsanto also made seeds of (crop) plants
that would survive that plant killing substance. The gmo's you're
protesting.
Farmers decided that
poisoning the ground and growing those poison-resisting crops would be
more efficient than growing crops the old way. So they took the easy and
more profitable road, bought the herbicide and the seeds from Monsanto.
Now tell me, why is Monsanto responsible for the choice of those
farmers? Nobody forced them to go unnatural. Nobody chose that path or
forced them to take it. It was (and is every day) a free choice the
farmers make.
So if you are such a freakin' furious activist, don't
bark at the wrong tree. Go bark at the farmers who choose their profits
over your health. Or stop buying their products - it is your choice.
Stop blaming the knife maker and start punishing the stabbers.
